TTIP(1)Parliament’s International Trade Committee will hold an extraordinary meeting on 29 June in Brussels to decide whether the 116 amendments tabled to Parliament’s draft recommendations to Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiators should be put to a vote by Parliament as a whole, the political groups represented in the committee decided on Monday (15 June).

De stemming zal worden voorafgegaan door een debat dat begint op maandag 29 juni om 16 uur CET.
To enable the amendments and/or the requests for split or separate votes to be put to a plenary vote, at least five International Trade Committee MEPs would need to vote in favour of them. This would enable MEPs to put the recommendations to a plenary vote at the July or September session, pending a decision by Parliament’s Conference of Presidents (European Parliament president and political group leaders).

The amendments were referred to the International Trade Committee by Parliament’s President Martin Schulz on 10 June, with a view to building a robust consensus on the draft recommendations.
